MADDHEALTHY DF/GF Holiday FOOD GUIDE

I blinked…and now it’s already time to get planning for Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner?! How did that happen?!

Some of my most favorite recipes I’ve made are on my Thanksgiving menu, so I wanted to make sure to share them with you! Holidays used to be some of the hardest seasons because of serious health issues, and if that’s you this season, you are not alone. I’ve made it my mission to make, enjoy, and SHARE all the delicious foods that cater to a variety of “healing protocols” so that everyone can enjoy the yumminess this Thanksgiving! These recipes are paleo friendly, whole30 friendly, grain-free, dairy-free, and super easy to make substitutions with.

SALADS

Not kidding — this is the BEST! This has become my absolute go-to when it comes to family dinners or potlucks with friends, and I cannot wait to have it again this Thanksgiving!

Full of seasonal items, this one screams all things fall and holiday season! Full of healthy fats, fiber, and plant based protein, this is sure to be a crowd favorite.

SIDES

I think I like these better then Japanese Sweet Potato fries which is saying a lot, because those are SO good. And these are super easy... & healthy, and delicious! Such an awesome option for a healthy hors d'oeuvres or side dish!

There’s nothing wrong with potatoes (for most people!) but some are intolerant to nightshades when dealing with specific health issues, so this is a delicious alternative! Creamy and yummy.

This is a STAPLE side dish for me! The easiest and best way I’ve found to do crispy bacon brussels. You’ll thank me later for these!

Ghee Mashed Potatoes (gluten-free, dairy-free friendly)

The creamiest, yummiest mashed potatoes made with real and whole ingredients! Mashed potatoes are a must for me and my family, especially for Thanksgiving dinner.

Delicata squash is one of the most underrated sides out there! It tastes so good and is SO simple to make.

HEALTHY STORE-BOUGHT SIDES

Totally understand not having the time to make each Thanksgiving dish homemade, so here are a couple of my favorite store-bought items to look for while doing your grocery shopping!

Simple Mills Artisan Bread Mix - My favorite dinner roll option! Made with healthier ingredients without sacrificing tasted.

Primal Kitchen Gravy (can buy at Whole Foods, online, or on Thrive Market) - I really love everything Primal Kitchen makes, and this gravy is no different! Definitely have to try it if you’re a gravy lover looking for cleaner ingredients.

DESSERTS

These crowd pleaser truffles are one of my most remade recipes of all time — that’s how you know they are the real delicious deal! Not only are they super yummy but they are blood-sugar stable too, which helps significantly with that post Thanksgiving meal crash. You’ll love these!

MY FAVE! These are addicting and a must try! Made with simple, straight forward ingredients, these are sure to be a family favorite at your Thanksgiving gathering. Better save the link for these because everyone will want the recipe! ;)

These are SO tasty!! If you aren’t a big fan of pumpkin, feel free to use squash instead to make some “Squash Pie Bars”! I’ve done both and LOVE! Pumpkin pie bars + coconut whipped cream = heavenly combo… just sayin’!

It doesn’t really get better than these DELICIOUS and gooey pumpkin cookie bars! These are vegan, sugar-free friendly, and taste amazing. People will be asking for the recipe for this one! <3
